Compass Photography Group originally comprised four keen Photographers who trained together at Writtle University College in Essex. Three of the four have dropped out, leaving just Mike Fogg. Mike is passionate about Photography. As a result you will see that the image galleries include images of a wide range of topics. Mike continues to capture images as he travels around Essex and further afield.

Approach

This quote attributed to Matt Hardy the Dorset based photographer that sums up Mike’s approach. “Beauty can be seen in all things, seeing and composing beauty is what separates a snapshot from a photograph”. We aim to create stimulating images through our photography

Since February 2020….

Through successful participation in a number of competitions, Mike became a “bronze” member of “Photocrowd”. This award reflects the fact that the average score gained from votes on Mike’s best 24 submitted images by the 16,000 members of Photocrowd places him in the top 1000 contributors of the 16,000 members! In 2019 ……
