Country Cottages. The brief for this competition, which was judged as well as being voted on by the community was as follows.”For this contest I would like to see you best photos of cottages. The cottages can be thatched or with tiled roofs but the more chocolate-box looking, the better. All entries should be colour only images. The cottage could be in a landscape or the focus of the entire photograph. But the cottage must be the focal point of the image. I look forward to your entries.”

Three of my four entries scored in Country Cottages. The pink cottage came 77th out of 835 entries, got a top 10% award and a judges commendation! The half timbered one came 298th (top 50% award) and the two cottages entry came 376th and also received a top 50% award! The other entry didn’t score well, but with hindsight I can see that the tree in front of the cottage didn’t help!
