Awarded Photocrowd Bronze status. Photocrowd is a web based global community of Photographers. It allows members of all levels to participate in and run competitions. Members then vote on the entries and those votes accumulate a position amongst the 16,000 members. Community members judge most competitions. “Expert” judges judge other competitions. Mike became a “bronze” status member of “Photocrowd” on the 17th February 2020. Bronze status is awarded as follows:
- Members submit entries in online competitions.
- Other of the 16,000 community members vote online to award images more or less points, or even none at all.
- A leader board is calculated by using the highest scoring 24 images entered by each person in the last three months
- Each photographer then has a ranking amongst the 19,000 members.
- Bronze status is awarded when a ranking is 1000 or less.
- This means that they are in the top 5% of the worldwide group.
- Mike was 942nd on the leader board on 17th February 2020, moving further down to 874th on the 24th February 2020. Hence awarded Photocrowd bronze status. However his entries must continue to achieve good scores to stay there!
