And the rain came down in August 2021. The Weather forecasters have been saying how many, meaning how few hours of sunshine we have had! It rained so hard that the drops were bouncing from the table on our patio. Not wanting to miss an opportunity I opened the patio doors, set up the tripod and started experimenting.

And the rain came down is a collection of rain drop bounces from more than one shower on more than one day. The bounce here is about half an inch across, we also see its reflection. The plant pot saucer is about 1 foot diameter. The fuchsia is being bombarded by the stair rods descending. image four shows the rain water flying in the air, as if its scratching the picture. Next we see scratches over the table and the grass.

Image six shows a single large area of impact and the water dashing upwards like a volcano. The thermometer takes a pelting! Under its shadow we see the scratches. Image eight shows three areas of impact. The vertical lines are those descending and the angled lines are the water bouncing upwards.

The light is darker in the final image, which has also been cut to a panoramic shape. Once again, fountains of rain water fly skywards. It was literally difficult to know where to focus when attempting to collect these images!
