Some people say don’t go to Paris in August! They say this because all of the Parisians have left for their month on the beaches of France. For me, looking round Paris in the warmth of August with less Parisians is an advantage. I captured 595 images in three days and am loading some of them onto our website in four separate galleries.

The image selected from the “Off the beaten track” gallery shows some graffiti on a building visible from the basin de la Villette, shot from Quai de la Marne. I actually think it looks like one of our Politicians. Does it remind you of anyone?
The “Classic Paris” gallery shows the image of the Eiffel Tower captured from the top of the Tour Montparnasse. It allows you to view the spans of both the Palais de Chaillot and the Ecole Militaire, with the Eiffel Tower between them. The height of the Tour Montparnasse allows the viewer to appreciate the scale of these monuments.
The Quai des Orfèvres is the image selected from the “Night time Paris” gallery. Captured from the Pont Saint Michel, this is the Quai that featured in the Maigret stories. It is police headquarters in Paris! Nice picture though!
“Paris Panoramas” provides a view of the city from outside the Basilica of Le Sacré-Cœur, one of the highest points in Paris
